Can't Restore Notes

I get this error when I try to restore from a Backup:

You do not have permission to write into the OpenBase databases
directory. You cannot restore databases without write permission to
the /Library/OpenBase/Databases directory. Please ask your
administrator to grant you write permission, and then try again.

I run as a non-admin user. Short of running as an admin, any ideas?
