Subject: FW: Students and Cell
Phones - What Next?
Here is a good one. Students are using a new ring tone these days with their cell phones called the “mosquito tone”. It is an ultra high frequency (17KHz) that most adults cannot hear due to normal hearing loss over time.
If you think you have heard a high pitched noise it may not be in your head, it could be someone’s phone ringing.
Attached is a file that is the ring tone…see if you can hear it.
I am pleased to say I can hear it! And it hurts my ears!

It's bad enough that I have to randomly check the contents of students'
flash drives (USB drives) because they have figured out how to run a
web browser application directly from a USB drive without having to
install
it on the PC. By doing so, they know they can bypass internet controls.
