Hi All,

I am really curious to know what tips or stories people have on how
they work the Bible and its lessons into your everyday computer classes
and interactions, for any age!

In our high school Introduction to Computer Science class, we just
finished a class on the early development of the personal computer. We
were able to segue the discussion into the fact that all people (even
nerds) have value to God. I asked the question, "How has God used
computers to spread the gospel and evangelize the world?" The students
offered a very respectable array of ways that the computer has been
used.

Here's a question I posed to my students:

I Corinthians 8:9 says " Be careful, however, that the exercise of your
freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak."

On the other hand...
Romans 14:17-19 says "17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of
eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy
Spirit, 18because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to
God and approved by men. 19Let us therefore make every effort to do
what leads to peace and to mutual edification."

Titus 3:7-9 also says "7so that, having been justified by his grace, we
might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8This is a
trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that
those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to
doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for
everyone.
9But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and
quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."

What exactly do these verses have to do with Christ-honoring behavior
as it applies to the use of computers, the internet, or other "new"
technology?
