Meeting minutes and status update
1. Flyer reviewed and sent out last night
2. Need to communicate our plan and event to media organizations (Alan Zhang)
3. Have found a sound system ($260) will seal the deal today (James Yuan)
4. Speakers: Major Dean confirmed, Scott Harris confirmed
5. Projector and PowerPoint: Alan Yuan will contact Rev. He. Church of Christ has provided our contacts for the projector, they are Yu MingRoung, Qi XiaoFeng, Wu GuangMing. James Yuan will visit Church of Christ Friday night to test the projector.
6. Music: Guo Zeng and ChengHua Yang are working on this.
7. Candles: Need to purchase enough candles for the evening. (Guo Zeng, Theresa)
8. Sympathy Cards: ChengHua, Guo Zeng, Gina Xiong. Need to prepare marker pens.
9. T-Shirts: Theresa.
10. Donation Collections: Theresa, Gina, Maggie, and 2 from VUSSCA.
11. Hosts for the event: Li Feng and Chen Yong.
12. Backup Sound System: Robert Tsai.
13. Cell Phone List: Everyone send out phone numbers to David to compile a list for coordination.
14. Event Program: ChengHua.
15. Photograph and Video tapping: Prof. Guo.
16. Envelops for the donations: HomeDepot donated 500 envelops. David will print return address for donation.
17. Posters: Prof. Guo and Prof. Chen Yong.
18. Volunteers need to arrive at the scene at 6:00pm on Saturday. VUSSCA will provide about 20 people.
19. Everyone needs to spread the words about the event. Print the flyers and make it available in your areas.
20. Need to take some tables and chairs to the park on Saturday. (MingZhi Zhang)
21. We will meet at the Centennial Park Band Shelter Friday night 7:00pm to prepare for the event next day.

I found Scott Harris's name as a speaker from the meeting minutes. Is
his role only to lead an open prayer? Yesterday I just knew that he is
out of town now. He is finding someone instead of him. I'm not sure if
he can find a pastor at such short time. I'll let you know once I hear
from him.

Tennessee Chinese Times (TCT) is the first-ever Chinese newspaper in Nashville and in Tennessee State. TCT is a non-profit, 501(c) (3), organization. In 2004, TCT was founded by a group of Chinese students and scholars along with Chinese community leaders in Nashville.
