SERVICES for WOMEN NAMED FINALIST IN TOYOTA
100 CARS FOR GOOD PROGRAM
Greenhope Services for Women is one
of 500 finalists in Toyota ’s
100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit
organizations nationwide based on votes from the public.
Toyota’s 100 Cars
for Good program will display five nonprofit organizations each day for 100
days on Toyota’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/toyota .Visitors to the page can vote once a
day for the organization that they feel is most deserving of a new
Toyota vehicle. Greenhope
has been selected to be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting
this Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST.

Staff members are encouraged to
support and vote for Greenhope in our quest for a new Toyota Sienna Mobility.
Please spread the word to family, friends and all of Greenhope’s
supporters by forwarding along the attached notice. The significance of winning
a vehicle from Toyota
is relevant at this time with the opening of Kandake House and as Greenhope
expands to serve mothers and their children. When Greenhope
receives the most votes and wins the vehicle, it will be used to make a
difference in the following ways:
- To
perform outreach, recruitment and to raise awareness about
Greenhope’s substance abuse treatment services throughout NYC and NY
State in the courts, prisons/jails, hospitals, and at detox clinics.
- To
transport:
ü an
incarcerated mother who has been discharged with her child from prison.
ü
a client who has
recently given birth from a hospital maternity ward with her newborn baby
ü
clients and their infant
or child to and from medical appointments and family court appointments
ü
children to supervised
visitations with their other parent
ü
clients and children to
educational trips and events
ü
a client who has
successfully completed Greenhope’s program and her child from Kandake House
to their new apartment
ü
a client who has been
temporarily hospitalized for a physical procedure or for a behavioral medical
condition back to Kandake House
- to
make home visits and to engage our outpatient clients who live off-site
- during
Greenhope’s one-year follow up phase, to make home visits to clients
who have successfully completed our program
