Lopez Obrador and the Iranian elections

Why do we expect the Iranian government to topple because opposition force mobilize hundreds of thousands after an election. We mobilized millions in the United States in favor of immigraion reform and nothing happened.
Why do we think what Iranian citizens are doing in protesting irregularities in an election is outstanding, but we condemned Lopez Obrador for mobilizing the masses of the people in Mexico after blatant irregularities in the presidential elections in Mexico. We call the Iranian opposition "reformers", but we called Lopez Obrador a "bad looser".
Is it that we admire the guts the Iranians are showing when we should have done the same in 2000 in the United States?
