THE ALLIANCE FOR IMMIGRANT RIGHTS CALLS FOR A MASSIVE IMMIGRANT RIGHTS
DEMOSTRATION ON MARCH 10.
Immigrant Rights organizers are holding a Press
Conference on Monday 22 at 11.00a.m at the Rudy Lozano Library, located at 1805
S. Loomis, for a call to action to those participants of the 2006 mass
immigration mobilizations against the Sensembrener bill.
The Alliance will announce plans of a massive march
on March 10th and will be calling on President Obama to immediately stop the
deportations of undocumented workers and immigrant families and for the
legalization of 11 million of undocumented immigrants.
For the last ten years the Latino community has
advocated for immigration reform and helped elect President Obama yet the
immigration issue has only been a political ping pong with no results. Working
immigrant families have been waiting for too long under sever hardships. Our
immigration demands have been ignored by the US Congress and the Obama
administration. The result of his governance has been 3 million of undocumented
immigrants been deported and republicans in very important states had introduce
anti-immigrant and racist legislation against our community like in Arizona and
recently in Wisconsin.
This year's immigration march will call for full
amnesty for undocumented workers and their families and an immediate moratorium
on all deportations. The planned immigration civil rights march will take place
on Thursday March 10, 2016 and be stepping off from Union Park on Ashland
Avenue and Lake Street and proceed to Daley Plaza beginning at 11.00 a.m. For
