urgent need for solidarity--sign Tamms petition

This petition was initiated by the Tamms Year Ten campaign to end
psychological torture at Tamms supermax prison in Southern Illinois.
We are hoping that you will help us with this urgent human rights issue.
Tamms Year Ten is at the do or die moment in trying to pass
legislation about Tamms--we have 24 legislators co-sponsoring, but the
southern Illinois Democrats are declaring war on the bill. We are
working legislatively--it is the only remedy we have. BUT, we can't
succeed without people speaking out.
This petition is politically relevant and useful because our bill
sponsor Julie Hamos is presenting it to the Governor and other
legislators. But we need numbers. If you read it and you agree with
it, can you please, sign it and spread the word anyway you can?
