Dear Friends and Colleagues,

 

I am delighted to share the news that Chhaya is being recognized by the Queens Borough President as well as groups around the city for its work in the South Asian and Muslim communities of Queens.  Please join us if you can – at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center on Wed, September 9th.  The event invitation is attached.

 

Chhaya was also recognized earlier this summer by the Nepali community at Adhikaar’s 4th annual reception, where Chhaya received a Community Leadership Award -  http://www.adhikaar.org/

 

We are so grateful for this recognition and humbled to receive it from such respected colleagues. Join us in celebrating our accomplishments and thank you to all of you for your support in these efforts!

 

 

Chhaya will be having is annual Architects of Change Reception on Thursday, October 8th, 2009 at the Jackson Diner.  For more details - click here.

 

This year’s Architects of Change Honorees:

CHAUMTOLI HUQ: Director of Litigation, Manhattan Legal Services

SADIA RAHMAN: Attorney, Catholic Migrations Immigrant Tenant Advocacy Project

ANISH BERRY: President, Doshi Diagnostic Imaging LLC
