Upcoming YP Events: 2/19/13 & 3/9/13

Greetings to all of the SNAME Chesapeake Section YP Members!

 

I am Nathan Hagan, your new YP Coordinator.  I am happy to announce our first two events for the year;

 

• February 19, 2013: YP Happy Hour.  This event will be a joint happy hour with the Kings Point Alumni association in the DC Metropolitan area.  Details on location and times should be announced by mid next week along with a Facebook event invite.  Be sure to RSVP once this is sent out so we can prepare for your arrival.
• March 9, 2013: Teach Fleet. For the second year the SNAME Chesapeake section has been invited to help volunteer with this innovative STEM outreach initiative with the largest fleet of Lego Ship Models on earth.  The event will be at Wheaton High School in Silver Spring, MD from 10 am to 2 pm.  Montgomery County Public Schools, NAACP and the Smithsonian will be promoting the event throughout the greater Washington area.  If you are interested in volunteering to support the event please contact me at nathanty...@gmail.com and register online at http://www.communitylightship.org/expo/registration.html.
