    Wednesday is family night at the Baptist Church.  We will be serving sandwiches and cookies.  Please everyone try to come.  We always have a great time.  Bring a friend!
 
Last Saturday the girls at cottage 4 at Cherokee Home for Children honored the office staff with a "Mystery Dinner".  It was great fun.  Afterward they entertained the guests with skits.
 
Cherokee Home for Children hosted some of the senior citizens in Cherokee at a Sweetheart Dinner Tuesday, February 13, 2007.  Some of the children were the entertainment.  They did a good job with their songs and poetry.  Everyone had a great time.
 
    Richard Randolph spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Randolph and Jaze.  They attended the Stock Show.  Wyvon Parisher from Houston spent last week with her sister, Wylnn Zulauf.  The sisters went to Lampasas and visited Bernice Cavness.  They reported that Bernice was doing good. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Broyles and daughter spent the weekend at their home in Cherokee.  It is nice to have Speedy and Doris LaFond back home in Cherokee.  They spent the winter in Weslaco.  Mr. and Mrs. Avery Johnson spent a few days in San Antonio with the Poss family.  Dixon Seider is living with his Mother in May, Texas.  He will be building a new home soon.  He will continue to commute to Cherokee and teach.  Ralph and Sheri Madill's daughter-in-law will be spending 6 weeks in Guatemala doing medical mission work.  She is a Physicians Assistant.  There son will be joining her in a few weeks.  He is an EMT.
 
    Mance Randolph had surgery in Llano Hospital last week.  He is back at the Eventide Nursing Home and doing really well.  Other folks at Eventide are Albert Hiilsmeier, Pauline Maddox and Clyde and Beth Estep.  Miss Kylar Bordner has pneumonia.  She has been home resting. 
Jonathon Odom had eye surgery in Fort Worth last week.  He is doing well.  LaVoyce Sellman had another chemo treatment last week.  Perky Ach has been ill with broncial pneumonia.
Mozelle Boultinghouse's sister has been in the hospital with heart problems.
 
    We extend our sympathy to Regina Forehand at the passing of her father.  His service was held in Burnet last Monday.
    Pat Boultinghouse was laid to rest last week in the Cherokee Cemetery.  Pat's parents were Thomas and Jessie Mae Boultinghouse.  We extend our sympathy to the family.
