     Gas prices continue to drop.  I've spotted it at $2.24 for regular unleaded at several places this past week.  Great to see!  Sure makes filling up at the pump a little less painful.

    An appreciation supper  was held for Ross Ellis on Sunday night at the Baptist Church.  Joseph Scott and friend, Erica Emmert visited in Cherokee last week.  Joseph has a job in Cleburne.

    Harold and Charles Johanson from LaVernia visited in Cherokee last week.  Lamar Johanson from San Saba and Lyndon and Sherry Johanson from Llano had luch with them at the grocery store.  They reported that Byars is doing well.
