    Easter sunrise services will be held on Sunday, April 8 on the football field.  Breakfast will be served following the service at the Baptist Church.  The children that go to CIA at the Baptist Church visited Eventide  Nursing Home last Sunday.  Cherokee residents are Clyde and Beth Estep, Pearlie  Walters, Albert Hiilsmeier and  Mance Randolph.  Danny Duggan and Delton McGuire are in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a World Evangelism Workshop.  Maude Ann Kuykendall hosted the ladies from the church of Christ and friends for a ladies night out at her house recently.  She served a delicious meal.  All the ladies shared something good, bad and funny.  Then Maude Ann entertained everyone by playing her guitar and singing.  Everyone had a great time.
 
    A baby shower was held in the home of Mrs. Lovell Kuykendall for Kendall Crum Meyers.  Kendall is the daughter of Larry and Suzanne Crum.  It was reported that she had a lovely shower.  Charles and Nettie Jean Randolph, Jim and Melody Ball , Sue Rhoades, Tracy, Kendall and Brady Johnson from Cherokee attended Jessica Ball's birthday party last Sunday.  Jessica was five years old.  Congratulations to Mike and Louise Hazel on the birth of  their granddaughter, Danika Shay Hazel.  She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hazel. 
 
    Josh, Nicole and little Josh Reyes have purchased the Gina Denton home.  We are so glad to have this young couple back living in Cherokee.  Josh will be going to college in Austin next Fall.
 
    Roy Sellman will be going to the VA Hospital in Temple for tests.  He has not been feeling well.  LaVoyce will go back to Fort Worth next week for more chemo.  Richard Randolph is improving each day.  He should be home on Friday, March 30.  Mrs. Wilma Johnson spent some time in the Llano Hospital. Susan Magill was in Seton Hospital last week.  She is home and feeling better.  Wardell Randolph is home from the hospital.  Sabra Roberts from Frisco is visiting.  Joe Fry, father of David Fry had emergency surgery in Austin last Saturday night. 
 
    Michael and Lynda Randolph have been in Montana at the Van Dyke bull sale.  Wayland Dobbs' mother Patsy Dobbs and her friend were here visiting from New Mexico.  They are going to Arkansas to Wayland's brother's house.  Kaci Dobbs, Vanessa Whitt and their friend Katy were in from ACU for Kaci's birthday.  They went to see The Lion King while here.  Last week Sydnie Suggs and her friend Taylor visited Doug and Cyndi Suggs for part of Spring break.  Sydnie, Taylor and Ali (the one that usually comes with Sydnie)  are cheerleaders and had just come back from New York City.  They had been in a Cheer Competition.  They won second place.  Doug and Cyndi Suggs were also visited by Samus Baisden's (Monica's husband) parents, sister, brother-in-law and niece.  They had been staying at the lake.  Friends of Danny and Janiece Duggan were in Cherokee last week.  They were on their way to Fredericksburg and stopped by the Ice Cream shop.  They also attended services with Janiece on Sunday.Ralph and Sheri Madill are in Arkansas.  After returning from Sheri's dad's funeral they got a call that Ralph's dad was near death.
