Some words of recognition.

Kicking things off, I wanted to acknowledge the people whose contributions led to ChangeMedium coming together. The early work started as the Social Venture Commons which started with some animated encouragement from Joe Dee. From there, Peter Flaschner and Matt Nish-Lapidus joined on followed by Dan Williams and finally Tim Scollick. Together we produced two prototypes (VenTwits and Thread.io) that explored how this medium works and how it might be use for social change and public benefit. 

This group and our collective work and network that led to the acceptance of ChangeMedium as a charitable initiative at Tides Canada Foundation and the formation of an initial steering committee including Austin Hill, Duncan Holmes, and Tim Draimin. 

ChangeMedium Toronto is the launch of a new direction informed by this history and co-created through the contributions of all those who decide to show up and make this happen. 

To those past, present and future contributors, thank you! This is an important point in our history and our contributions have an important role in our future.
