Dear Friends,
The prayer of a righteous person avails much! Jm 5:16
We have prayed for the Adoumngue family to be together!
Many have given sacrificially both in Chad and in the US. Dina herself
last year sold a lot of her precious things to see the release of her
family. Elie has let his fields lay fallow for the third time in order
to pursue something that is of more lasting worth and that will benefit
multitudes in Chad. Community Development training!
After the tickets Miracle then, the challenge of passports and visas
came up... Chad introduced new passports and rendered all previously
issued passports null and void. The new passports are perhaps the most
expensive I have ever heard of at 85000 CFA (US$ 170) each. You figure
in misc expenses that go with it and its US$200 a piece for the four of
them thats a good US$800. A midnight call from the US brought hope in
that 2 persons had given $700 for the passports. Due to the recent war
with rebels in Chad many Embassies including the US one were closed
down and many services were on hold for several weeks since the
presidential elections a fortnight later made the city really tense.
All this challenges meant that the Passports weren't issued on time and
the visas IF issued will be late. Ticket change fees (Air France)and
possible loss of Paris-Seattle tickets (American Airlines) poss another
GIANT! Please pray!
Humanly speaking... we are running out of ideas but continue to hold
onto the word of the Lord in Faith. Can the American Airlines consider
the rebellion in Chad and make special concession? Can Air France
waive the Ticket change fees... The tickets, passports, visas and
ground expenses involved people giving out of their need... can God
still work whatever other MIRACLE of providence is necessary. We are
running out of ideas but God hasn't!
- Please continue praying that the word God gave for famillies will
be upheld.
- Pray against discouragement for the leaders and people involved
- Pray for favor with the US embassy
- Pray for extra providence
- Finally for Dina and the Kids who wait "in Limbo" in Ndjamena far
from their home.
Till the Shout!
Moses Kariuki
