Greetings from the Kariuki family
Serving with Youth With A Mission in Chad

December 2005

As we look back over 2005, we can only say we are grateful for the wonderful faithfulness and grace of God shown so abundantly in our lives and ministry… it truly is a privilege to be a part of HIS family.  Our prayer this holiday season is that His work would be overwhelmingly evident in your life and family as well.  Merry Christmas to you all!

Our last few months in Chad went by very quickly with Moses busy leading the School of Biblical Studies Core Course, and Jo getting ready to travel, as well as working in the base office.  Since the end of September, we’ve been greatly blessed to be able to spend some time in YWAM Lausanne, Switzerland, where Moses is finishing up his last course to complete a degree in Biblical Studies.  Jo and the boys were there for several weeks, and came to the US in November, while Moses is completing the Humanities and Science Core Course and will travel to the US just before Christmas.  We are so thankful for God’s provision for this time of refreshing and renewing.

Since we first traveled to Chad we have been praying that God would raise up and release women in the local churches – we are so thrilled that our first Chadian Discipleship Training School leader is a woman of God named Mirom who did a wonderful job leading the DTS this year and is currently preparing for the 2006 DTS.  Please pray for her and the rest of our team as they prepare for DTS beginning in February.

Family news... a new addition!  Well, Zachary has now been with us for over a year and we can’t imagine life without him, he’s a delightful little boy and we’re so glad he’s OURS!  His big brother Josh keeps growing and growing and definitely is showing promise of being as tall as his Daddy.   We are eagerly expecting a new addition to the family in February, and are thankful Jo has been doing well, especially with all the traveling we have done.

Many thanks to all of you who have been part of the ministry in Chad this year through your prayers, giving, and last but not least, those emails and letters of encouragement   We do appreciate all of you!  Please continue to pray with us as we are trusting God for a $1000 increase in our committed monthly support in order to meet our needs in Chad, as well as our return fare to Chad ($4000.)  If you would like to contribute to our needs with a onetime gift or commit to supporting us on a regular basis, our contact and support details are below.  Please call or write if you'd like more info about our work, our needs, or to commit to becoming part of our support team.  You can also join our prayer partenrs to receive regular prayer updates  on your email - just send a blank email to: kariukiprayerpa...@yahoogroups.com

Blessings,

Moses, Jo, Josh & Zachary
