MEDITATIVE PRAYER
We are not authoritarian and/or dogmatic, we
hold that Jesus speaks to each of us differently.
In order to hear Him and recieve direction from the Living Christ we
must make time for Him and be
receptive to His guidance.
We hold that everyone may develop this experiential
relationship with the Living Christ, if they make the time to do so.
>From this experiential relationship a "Gnosis" or "knowing" occurs.
In this sense we are Gnostics, having an experiential knowledge and
relationship with
God.
This "knowing" which develops in us through our exploration of the
contemplative dimension of the Gospel reveals the True Magisterium
[ TheTeaching ] of Jesus Christ, which supervenes and overrides any
and all external
authoritarian or dogmatic directives and regulations.
This "inner revelation" is
our True and Only authority.
The contemplative dimension of the Gospel manifests itself in an ever
deepening union
with the Living Christ, and the practical caring for others that flows
from that
relationship.
Sharing the method of Meditative Prayer and its immediate conceptual
background,
we encourage the practice of "Lectio Divina,"
particularly its movement into contemplative prayer, which a regular
and
established practice of Meditative Prayer facilitates.
We identify with the Christian contemplative heritage.
While we are formed by our respective denominations, we are united in
our common search for God and the experience of the Living Christ
through Meditative Prayer.
We affirm our solidarity with the contemplative dimension of other
religions and
sacred traditions, with the need and rights of the whole human family
and with all creation.
This is the AUTHENTIC PATH of Christian Discipleship.
It is open to ALL who will make the sincere and persevering
effort.
Make time for Christ......He is waiting for YOU.

Through Meditative Prayer and participation in the Grace of the Holy
Sacraments
of the Church, we align our Heart-Mind with God.
