Ms.  Ruchita,

Hope everything is going well with Anvi's treatment.  Please send us the official invoices you received to-date from Narayana Hrudayalaya so we can pay directly to Narayana Hrudayalaya for the invoiced amount.

Please e-mail us scanned invoices from Narayana Hrudayalaya, on their official letter head, with the accounting official's name, signatures,  and contact information so volunteers can contact for any details if necessary.

Disbursements will be made based on the invoiced amounts, and the funds will be deposited electronically into Narayana Hrudayalaya's bank account with instructions to credit into Anvi's patient account.

Please send us Narayana Hrudayala's Bank account details, the contact details, and Anvi's patient account details to facilitate the money transfer.

Please update us with the latest on Anvi.  Our prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
Volunteers for Anvi's cause.

Dear sir,

By god's grace Anvi is fine. Today was her 3rd day of chemo, she had developed high temperature and weakness during the session. But doctors said that's the part of it.

Yes we have received the draft bill till date and it is INR 417672. We have payed till now INR 55000. Also for a chemo medicine we payed INR 32000 which is not included in the bill because that particular medicines has to be bought directly from the importers. Will send you a scanned copy of the bills shortly  along with the accounts officers contact details as per your requirement.

Thanks & Regards,
Ruchita

Team,

We collected $12,307 to-date, which is an equivalent of 6.7 lakhs.
The treatment costs 26 Lakhs according to Ruchita, out of which, the family has 11 Lakhs (or more, we don't know).
We know that Narayana Hrudayalaya will subsidize the treatment sometimes, but we don't know how much.
The surgery will not be stopped because of non-receipt of funds, so we have time.

We have two choices:
--------------------------
A.  Send the money we collected against invoices we receive from Narayana Hrudayalaya until we exhaust the money we collected.
Subsequently, it will be between Narayana Hrudayalaya and Anvi's family to settle the remainder of the balance with the funds she already received from public via other sources.

B.  Make Ruchita Pay half of every invoice she receives, and we will send a matching amount until we exhaust the money we collected.  This ensures better accountability of the overall funds received from all sources by the family.

C.  Send 1/2 of what we have now and half at the end of the procedure.

Shanthi and I are evenly split between option A and B.  Option B will make it harder on the family to document, etc., and forces them to spend the money they collected via other sources, but it is the right thing to do.

Please let us know your preference as it is public money and we want to disburse it judiciously based on consensus.

If you have better suggestions, please share with the group.

Thanks,
Gopi

I vote for A for the following reasons:

1. Donors had urgency in mind
2. This surgery is not not the end of their expenses. For a surgery they can raise money. If they run out of money and all their savings they cannot ask for money for that.
