HELP! The statue at Crescent Heights/San Vicente is GONE!

Hi Neighbors

Bad news. The beautiful old bronze statue of the man panning for gold
IS GONE. You know the one, in the small park/median at San Vicente &
Crescent Heights? Looks like he's holding a pizza?

Does anyone out there recall when you noticed it last? I recall
seeing it Saturday when we were out walking the dogs and crossed at
that intersection, but someone else said they thought it was last
Thursday.

The police have been notified and I'm waiting for them to come out and
take a report. Does anyone have a good picture of the statue?

And news media contacts? I'd HATE to see this statue melted down and
some crook paid a few hundred dollars for the metal. It's been PART
OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR OVER 80 YEARS!

We need to make a big deal out of this and get it back! If anyone
knows any news reporters, could you please give them, and me a call?
I want to find our gold miner!
