Pittsburgh's Hidden Treasures on Aug. 7 Sunday, Aug. 7 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 30 appraisers will be on hand to assess the historical significance of visitors' items and provide a verbal assessment of potential monetary value.
KDKA-TV's Dave Crawley and Mary Robb Jackson will roam the History Center seeking the most interesting items for interviews. The most unique items will be featured as part of special 30 minute programs on KDKA-TV later this year, hosted by KDKA's Ken Rice and History Center President and CEO Andy Masich.
Appraisers at the Pittsburgh's Hidden Treasures event have expert knowledge on a variety of antique items, including books, china, militaria, coins, collectibles, furniture, glass, jewelry, paintings, photographs, quilts, silver, sports memorabilia, toys, and much more.
In addition to the appraisals, experts from the History Center's Museum Conservation Center and the Smithsonian Institution will be on hand at the event to provide tips on how to preserve visitors' items. 
Admission
Pittsburgh's Hidden Treasures is included with regular History Center admission. History Center admission is $16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens (62+), $6.50 for retired and active duty military, $6.50 for students with a valid school ID, $6.50 for children (6-17), free for children under 5, and free for History Center members.
Special Access for History Center MembersDuring the Pittsburgh's Hidden Treasures event on Aug. 7, History Center members will be allowed to enter the event at 9 a.m., one hour before the museum opens to the public, to attend a special "members only" appraisal session. During this session, History Center members will have exclusive access to meet with professional appraisers and conservators.
Members may bring guests as their membership permits. Non-members who exceed the group size allowed by a membership will not be admitted early or permitted to skip the line.

Free Weekend at Meadowcroft Sponsored by the Jack Buncher Foundation
Visit Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village on July 30 - 31 and receive FREE admission all weekend long, courtesy of the Jack Buncher Foundation.
Marvel at the Rockshelter, a massive, rock overhang used by the region's earliest inhabitants for shelter more than 16,000 years ago. Travel forward through time and experience what everyday life was like for Upper Ohio Valley inhabitants over the past 400 years. Step inside a wigwam or try your hand at the atlatl, a spear thrower used by prehistoric hunters. At the Historic Village, watch a blacksmith forge red-hot iron or enjoy a lesson in a one-room schoolhouse.

Yoga @ the History Center Saturday, July 30 | 8:30 - 10 a.m.
Join the History Center, in partnership with Pittsburgh Yoga Events and Fitt PGH, for yoga with a dash of history!
Sarah Reed-Lieb and Katie Russo, certified vinyasa yoga instructors, will lead visitors through a 90-minute all-levels flow. Following the class, enjoy access to all six floors of the History Center, including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum. Namaste.
Admission Tickets are $20 and include yoga and museum admission throughout the day.

Women's History Seminar Fort Pitt Museum | Saturday, July 30 | 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Attend the Fort Pitt Museum's second annual Women's History Seminar to learn about women during the 18th century. Topics include American Indian women, women's roles in native tribes, women and tattoos, and more.
