I must caution you:

This email contains terrible insults to Jesus Crucified.

But I must tell you about this so that you will understand why it is so important that you raise your voice in protest.

Quickly – I am rushing this email to you because you are a person with a special love for Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here’s what’s happening:

America’s 2nd largest book publisher, HarperCollins, continues to sell an impure and blasphemous book entitled:

The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus...

It is hard-bound, but they have categorized it as a “comic” book. It contains drawings about a disrespectful “wife” of Jesus using His Crucifixion as a prop for “jokes” and insults.

Just look at how HarperCollins promotes the book on their web page. (Bold print is mine.)

Mr. Said, a comic book satirizing the Crucifixion?

I want to mail a massive “brick” of protest messages – to Mr. Michael Morrison, President and Publisher, U.S. General Books and Canada at HarperCollins Publishers.

I hope this brick will contain yours and 20,000 other protests!

You and I must not remain silent!

I say this because when the author of this outrageous “comic” book, Dan O’Shannon, was asked if he had received any “negative blowback,” he said:

"The Catholic Church has remained silent...."

Really?!! The Catholic Church has remained silent??

OK, I’m a Catholic and…

I WON’T REMAIN SILENT!

How about you?

And even the author admits that it’s offensive! O’Shannon continued:

“…beyond the (admittedly offensive) act of using these images in a cartoon, the book isn’t about religion at all.”

The author wants us to take this statement seriously?

So why would a major publishing company publish
a book they have every reason to believe will offend
over 68 million American Catholics and tens of millions
of other American Christians?

Here’s the answer: they will do it because they don’t believe individuals like you will protest out of love for Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Anthony, please don’t remain silent while this book is in stores, claiming that: JESUS HAD A WIFE. That’s a horrible lie!

And the Crucifixion is nothing to belittle and joke about.

Let’s tell HarperCollins: STOP Blaspheming Our Lord NOW!
