1. Prisoner's Rights: A Panel Discussion, Monday, October 18, 2010. 12-1:20pm, Room 206.
Professor Alex Reinert, Katie Rosenfeld (Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP) and Jaya Vasandani (CLS '10, Correctional Association) will discuss their work ensuring that our nation’s prisons, jails, juvenile facilities and immigration detention centers comply with the Constitution, federal law, and international human rights principles.  Presented by Cardozo Public Service Scholars. 2. The Cardozo National Lawyers Guild 3rd Annual Faculty Schmooze, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, 5:00-7:00pm, 5th Floor Faculty Lounge.

Come learn how to effectively use digital media to promote social justice causes.
After practicing law for almost a decade, Abby Ginzberg has been an independent documentary film director and producer for the past 20 years, creating films that tackle discrimination and the legal profession. She recently completed the documentary, "Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderon's American Journey", which focused on federal district judge Thelton Henderson. Another film, "A Tale of Two Cities", discusses the difficulty of forming high-school education for disadvantaged juvenile youths.
