1. Alternative Resolutions to Environmental Disputes. Monday, October 25, 6:15 pm, Rm. 206.

This distinguished panel will feature John Byrne of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Johanna Dyer of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Professor Michael Herz.

Chinese food will be served. Sponsored by Cardozo Environmental Law Society, Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society, and NLG.

2. NYC
NLG's Street Law team on radio program 'Law and Disorder,' on WBAI 99.5. Monday, October 25th, 10am. It has already aired on the 30 affiliate stations, check it out: http://lawanddisorder.org/

3. Social Justice Coffee Hour with Filmmaker Abby Ginzberg. Tuesday, October 26, 2010, 4pm, Rm. 407. 
Come learn how to effectively use digital media to promote social justice causes. After practicing law for almost a decade, Abby Ginzberg has been an independent documentary film director and producer for the past 20 years, creating films that tackle discrimination and the legal profession. She recently completed the documentary, "Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderon's American Journey", which focused on federal district judge Thelton Henderson. Another film, "A Tale of Two Cities", discusses the difficulty of forming high-school education for disadvantaged juvenile youths.


4. Volunteer Training Sessions for Monitoring Elections (for Compliance with the Voting Rights Act) Wednesday, October 27, 6:30 pm, White & Case LLP, 1155 Avenue of the Americas.  For more information click here.
