Hey guys and girls, this is Tyler Bechstein, and I'm proud to represent you as the new president of the Card and Board Game Club at SFSU in the 2012 Fall semester!

Now that that's out of the way, I come with the exciting announcement that we will be registered as an official club this semester! Assuming, of course, we meet the prerequisites, but that's what the zeroth meeting is going to be about.

We're currently unofficial and have no official assigned room, but this Friday, September 29th at 4:00 PM we will meet for the first time this semester unofficially in HUM 132 to discuss the club's operations for this semester, tabling options, officer candidates, and that sort of thing. We also need the SFSU e-mails of five current SFSU students beyond myself and our new treasurer, Bryan Ng, to properly re-found the club, which is more or less the only reason I haven't been able to register the club officially yet and the reason this'll be the zeroth meeting instead of the first.

The new semester brings new opportunities for new games, fundraising, activities, new members, and hopefully establishing this club as a larger presence on campus, and I'm of course open to any ideas and suggestions from current members as to what we can do for any or all of those. I myself have a few ideas, of course, but I'm still pretty new to the idea of being presidential and would greatly appreciate any input you might have!

Here's looking forward to a brand new semester full of games and fun Friday nights with great company!

Amazingly, I did my math completely wrong. It'll be Friday, September 28th, not the 29th.

At least I got the time right. :p

ADDITIONAL THINGS I GOT WRONG: The time.

The meeting will actually be in HUM 132 at 5:00 on Friday, September 28th. Not 4:00 pm, but 5:00 pm.

At least I got the room right.

Hello CardBoardGamers!

This is Joe Benjamin, your club's staff/faculty advisor (at least for this past year) and founder of the original gaming club almost a decade ago.
Congratulations to your new president, Tyler, and I am glad to see that the club is picking up it's activities for this year.
As you may already know, it is always in the club's best interest to maintain current status with the university - which includes officers in good academic standing as well as a valid advisor to sign the necessary paperwork through the LEAD office (which has recently changed their office name yet again!)

Therefore, if still needed, I offer my services once again to the club as the advisor this year as I am keen to games and RPGs and have been for many years.

Let me know, and I shall see you guys this Friday @5pm!

YET ANOTHER THING I GOT WRONG: The room.

As my august Treasurer Brian Ng informed me, the first floor of the Humanities building will be occupied by the debate club on Friday night. This makes it hard for us to be in room HUM 132, so we're changing that.

The meeting will be in HUM 201 at 5:00 on tomorrowFriday, September 28th. Not HUM 132, but HUM 201.

At least I've run out of things to get wrong.

Additionally: It is, as I found out with the rest of you, my honor to have Joe Benjamin, the original game club founder, joining us for our 0th meeting! Joe, thanks for deciding to drop by, and for your offers of help. We'll all look forward to seeing/meeting you this Friday!

ONE FINAL LAST-MINUTE UPDATE:

As I have discovered, the debate club has not just reserved the first floor of Humanities, but the first three floors of Humanities and counting. Therefore, we'll be falling back to Burke Hall 408 instead.

So no longer Hum 201, but BH 408. Sorry for making this as absolutely confusing as I possibly could, I promise I wasn't trying to do so.

Anyway, to get to BH 408, enter Burke Hall from the main garden entrance, walk until you reach the wall in front of you on the first floor, then take a right. Eventually you'll get to an elevator, which you ride to the fourth floor and follow the signs to 408. Do not take the elevator directly near the main entrance, as it only goes up to level 3, and you need to go one floor past that.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all tonight! If you have any trouble finding us, my cell phone number is (805)-689-5269. Call me and I'll do my best to help you out.

Once again: Burke Hall 408, Friday, September 28th. See you there!

LITERAL LAST MINUTE CHANGE:

We are now holding the club in HSS 275, due to the debate club occupying the western half of campus, and thus BH 408.

CLUB IS NOW IN: HSS 2.

HSS 275, rather. No idea why my phone is bad at typing.
