Linda wanted to tell you a little about herself:
Linda True Stromski plays flute, piccolo, alto flute, and penny whistles. Before moving to The Villages, she performed with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, MA for 26 years and was principal flute with the Nashua, NH Chamber Orchestra.
While President, CFO, and a founding member of the New England Flute Orchestra, she lectured about and directed flute choirs at the National Flute Convention. As the owner of Falls House Press, a flute music publishing company, she published hundreds of pieces of new and revived music.
For many years she taught flute privately, was an adjunct faculty flute instructor at Rivier College, Nashua, NH, and enjoyed performing with the American Flute Orchestra in Austria and Italy.
Since moving to The Villages two years ago, she has joined The Villages Celtic Show Band, Bach With A Beat, The Villages Flute Choir and has been a featured soloist at many churches and other musical events.
The penny whistle is a new love for Linda after joining The Villages Celtic Show Band. After buying a new D whistle, she was also inspired to get her new Low D Carbony whistle. The way these whistles are made it is possible to play for someone with smaller hands. It is easy to play and sounds beautiful. Thank you, Rob, for making such a wonderful instrument!
