to Carbon Dioxide Removal

Hi,

The world’s largest EW greenhouse experiment just produced a scientific treasure: 1,000+ soil & biomass samples.

Since 2023, we’ve been running 400 pot experiments near Fürth, Germany, testing 16 soils and 12 feedstocks with lolium perenne. We tracked leachate chemistry and CO₂ efflux monthly, and dismantled the pots after 1-2 years. The result: hundreds of carefully stored samples that likely hold the missing pieces of carbon transport and storage in enhanced weathering.

It is a unique treasure. No money in the world would be able to reproduce such a sample library now. It would take at least 2 years to get there!

Now, we’re opening our treasure to others!

We’re offering samples (plus grant support of up to €50,000) to research partners who can help analyse them. Soil carbon pools, cation tracking, nutrient shifts, biomass metals… the potential insights are enormous!

There are two requirements:

  1. Preliminary data needs to be shared at our dedicated conference in mid-2026

  1. Open-access publication of results

The climate crisis won’t wait. Neither can we.

The proposal deadline is October 24, 2025, with decisions to follow by November 15.
