EGU General Assembly 2026 3–8 May 2026

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to submit your abstract and join our session GMPV3.1 at #EGU26.

We welcome contributions addressing:

  • Natural and artificially induced CO2 storage by mineralization.
  • Natural and potentially stimulated H2 formation.
  • Critical metal behaviour during ultramafic alteration.

We cordially invite contributions that advance our understanding of the conditions, mechanisms and rates of these processes during fluid-rock interactions in peridotites and serpentinites from microscopic to industrial and tectonic scales, including studies of natural analogues, field surveys, pilot injection sites, laboratory experiments and theoretical simulations.

Solicited speaker: Benjamin Malvoisin (Univ. Grenoble-Alpes)

💰 Apply by 1 December 2025 to request financial support!

Abstract deadline: 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET

Conveners:

Manuel Menzel (CSIC, Spain)
Kartin Steinthorsdottir (Carbfix)
Frank Zwaan (University Lausanne)
