Dear all,

I’m excited to invite the members of this group to participate in CDR30, the first community-managed Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) pavilion at any COP, taking place from November 9–21, 2025, in Belém, Brazil. This is a landmark opportunity to shape how CDR is represented and understood at COP for the first time.

Why CDR30?

  • CDR is essential for net zero per the IPCC, yet remains poorly understood, even at COP.

  • CDR30 will provide the first physical hub at COP to learn about, engage with, and advance CDR solutions.

  • The pavilion will spotlight high-impact CDR methods such as biochar and enhanced rock weathering (ERW), aligned with COP30 priorities on land restoration and food security.

What makes CDR30 unique?

  • A global, community-led coalition of 150+ participants, including NGOs, think tanks, universities, and companies.

  • Non-commercial by design: equal access to pavilion space and programming across sectors.

  • Endorsed by the global CDR community, with no competing pavilion effort.

How you can get involved:

  • Programming contributions: Share your plans for COP30 via this  Google Form. options include:

    • Virtual webinars in the lead-up to COP

    • In-person presentations or interactive exhibits in the pavilion

    • Any other creative format of your choosing

  • Coalition contribution: A suggested fee of €3–5k secures your spot in the Blue Zone Pavilion and includes:

    • Brand visibility on the CDR30 website

    • Social media & PR spotlights

    • Email promotion and on-site recognition

  • Member introduction videos: Record a ~1-minute video to showcase your organization. Submit by COB Tuesday, 7 October. Guidance, shared drive, and example video can be found here -  Example video from NEP, Shared drive to share your recordings, and Filming guide

We would be thrilled to discuss how you or your organisation can join the coalition, contribute to programming, and support this first-of-its-kind platform at COP30. Thank you for considering this opportunity to lead with purpose in the carbon removal space.

Looking forward to connecting!

Warm regards,
Priya Yadav
