BirdLife South Africa is looking for a qualified, dedicated and dynamic Coastal Seabirds Project Manager to be based in Cape Town, to assist in developing science-based tools to incorporate seabird spatio-temporal data into (1) a regulatory framework that can inform an ecosystem approach to fisheries management, and (2) marine spatial planning initiatives. The position is focused on translating science into conservation action for threatened coastal seabird species in South Africa’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
