Folks--
Andy announces some Fall hiking opportunities, the first this Sunday, 30 October, Pierce Canyon Falls, on Rd 53 going west out of Guinda. Join Megan Evans to explore the only open public road into the Blue Ridge in western Yolo County.

Pierce Canyon Falls Hike

Come join Megan Evans, one of our newly active volunteers,  for a hike at Pierce Canyon Falls. Meet at the post office in Guinda (at 7575 State Highway 16, Guinda) at 9:45 a.m.This is a 6 to 8 mile (1,000 foot elevation gain) hike into the heart of the mountains above the Capay Valley. Great way to get out of the city and enjoy the coming of the fall!

November 27th - Long Canyon Loop Trail
Come work off the Thanksgiving weekend calories on a beautiful 10 mile loop through the Knoxville Ranch Public Lands. Meet at Winters Community Park by the gazebo at 9am,  located at Railroad Avenue and Main Street.  We'll arrange carpools and arrive at the trailhead on Knoxville Road around 10:45am.  We'll hike the loop, eat lunch along the way, and return to the trailhead between 3:30 and 4:30. Be prepared for the weather and bring plenty of water. 
 
December 11th - Judge Davis or Redbud Trail - TBD
