Title: ETL Datastage Developer
Location:  Naperville, IL
Duration: 6 months plus

Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Database and Reports Developer will serve on the Business Intelligence team, supporting data extractions, creating advanced database queries and transformations of data between physical structures, Oracle, ParAccel, SQL Server and/or DB2 systems and serve as a technical expert to the Business Analytics team.  This position will provide development, performance, and monitoring within the BA/BI team to code interfaces, extractions, based on business usage.  Skills should also include the ability to develop and interpret technical design documentation, have organizational skills sufficient to manage and complete the work load assigned with minimal supervision, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server databases 
Experience developing ETL jobs to accommodate unstructured information available in Excel worksheets.
Experience with Toad, SQL plus and advance performance tuning tools 
Experience with Developing both Server and Parallel jobs running on a UNIX platform.
Working knowledge of ETL processes using Oracle databases and/or SQL Server as Source and Target data environments.
Experience working in all phases of a full project life cycle.
Experience with very large database management environments as it pertains to the development strategies necessary for building complex SQL queries in such an environment.
Working knowledge of Unix Bourne and Korn shell scripting.
Must be a high energy team player with a positive working attitude and possess excellent documentation skills
Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
Understanding of the retail industry is preferred.
 
Technical Skills
Required skills 5+ years experience:
Working knowledge of Oracle versions 9i, 10G and/or SQL Server 2008 with respect to building writing advance SQL queries and data extract routines. 
Extensive experience with building Historical and Daily Incremental ETL load processes in a large terabyte database environment.
Expert knowledge in development of Server and Parallel processing jobs.
LINUX and UNIX Bourne and Korn shell scripting
Previous work with Enterprise scheduling tools such as UC4 for control DataStage job and sequencer execution.
A working knowledge of SAP and the use of Standard Extractors in the SAP environment.
A working knowledge of SAP BW and interpretation of Transfer Rules.
