Oakebshawe & Guiford Crime Alert - into CVCA area

Another incident was reported on the 30th block of St. Paul last night.
Suspect fits the same description of the Oakenshawe/Guilford area
crimes. A single woman was held up at gunpoint. The perpetrator
forced her to drive to the Bank of America ATM (drivethru) and withdraw
the maximum amount of cash. He also took her purse including her
wallet and cell phone. She was dropped off unharmed near Druid Hill
Park.
Please be extra careful. Let's work together to keep our neighborhood
and each other safe.

OAKENSHAWE & GUILFORD CRIME ALERT
In the recent days and weeks, there have been a series of armed
robberies occurring mostly from 7 to 11 p.m. Please be extra careful
exiting your car, going to and from your homes and be on the alert for
any suspicious individuals. The robberies are believed to be the
result of one perpetrator.
The profile of the perpetrator is as follows:
· Black, dark-skinned male
· thin to medium build
· about 5 ft. 10 in.
· close-cropped hair
· 25-30 years old
· Ben Franklin-type black-wire rimmed glasses
· round face and eyes
· uses a mask to cover his face such as two bandanas or doo-rags
· Clothing - white t-shirt, black sweats, jeans and a track suit
· Armed and dangerous.
To report any suspicious activity call 911 immediately and if you
believe you have seen the suspect specifically state "I have seen a
suspicious individual who matches the description of the suspect
responsible for the armed robberies in the Oakenshawe/Guilford area."
Lock windows and doors, report suspicious activity, and do not let
anyone you don't know into your house.
