* Reduce your chances of injury during a purse snatching by not placing
the purse's strap across your body. Carry the purse close to your
body, not dangling by its straps. Do not carry house keys in your
purse along with your address or telephone number. When you are beyond
safe walking distance from home, keep some money separate from your
purse in case your purse is lost or stolen. Students are encouraged to
use the escort van service when traveling at night within a mile or
campus.
