ARMED ROBBERY

(2 Blocks Southeast of Campus)

A School of Public Health student was approached by two unknown males
one of which pointed an unknown caliber silver handgun demanded and
took his cell phone and currency. Prior to fleeing, suspect # 1 struck
the victim in the head with his handgun causing a laceration. The
suspects then fled west on 30th Street, entered a green minivan and
drove north in the rear of the 3000 block of N. Calvert Street. The
area searched by Baltimore Police Officers with negative results.
Investigation continuing.
Description of Suspect:
1. Black male, 20 - 30 yrs., 6'2" tall, 240lbs, dark complexion,
black t- shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and black cap. Armed with a
handgun.
2. Black male, early 20's 5'9", 250lbs, heavy build, medium complexion,
wearing a tan leather jacket with fur trim around the collar, blue
jeans and white shoes.

* Avoid walking on the streets late at night. Do not argue with an
armed robber and risk serious injury: safety - wise, it is better to
relinquish the property demanded. Without being obvious about it, try
to form a detailed memory of the robber's appearance so that you can
make positive identification afterwards. Give the impression to anyone
who may be watching you that you are alert and watchful. At night, use
the escort van service instead of walking.
Timely and accurate crime reporting is critical to crime prevention.
Report all criminal incidents promptly to the Campus Safety and
Security department or other security authority. Program the Security
Department's phone numbers into your cell phone.
