Hi Columbia jugglers,

Here are two shows you might want to see (or in the latter case, perform in!):

1. Juggle This!
at Memorial Hall, Pratt Institute
(200 Willoughby Ave, Brooklyn, NY)
Saturday, March 3, 7:30pm
$10

This show is always the highlight of New York's annual juggling convention. This year's show will feature an incredible array of local and international talent.

  • From around the world: Matias Salmenaho (Finland), Ryan Whelan (Canada), Gonzalo Coloma ( Peru)
  • From around the country: Jay Gilligan, Michael Karas
  • And from around The City: The Sizzle Twins, Sean Blue, Marcus Monroe, Stephanie Monseu, the Red Hook Ramblers
  • And featuring students from the Montreal Circus School and Ithaca College

The show is part of NYC's 6th Annual Juggling Festival, which takes place Friday, March 2 - Sunday, March 4, 2007, and includes open juggling, workshops, games, shows, prizes, special guests, vendors, and more! All events are open to the public, and everything except the show is free.

2. Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Cavalcade of Youth
at Henry Street Settement/Abrons Arts Center
(466 Grand Street, New York, NY 10002)
Sunday April 15, 3pm
$5 kids/$10 for 21 and over.

The performers of tomorrow steal the stage today! Co-produced by Playful Productions®, Bindlestiff Family Cirkus presents a special showcase for young variety performers, ranging from amateurs to world-class professionals. Juvenile jugglers, diminutive dancers, adolescent acrobats and a host of other moppets and mummers present a full show of vernal vaudeville. Acts range from debuting amateurs to world-class champion performers-all under the age of 21.

We're still accepting acts! If you're under 21 and would like to perform, we need: contortionists, jugglers, magicians, puppeteers, ringmasters or ringmistresses, tap dancers, singers and musicians, clowns, aerialists, rope spinners, wire walkers, sideshow marvels, and other entertaining folks. Ground or aerial; solo, partner, and group acts are welcome.
