My name is Meg Schmitt, and I’m the program assistant for the Rocky Mountain Summer Research Education Experience (RMSREE) at CU Denver. The RMSREE is a paid professional development opportunity for Front Range high school teachers in STEM fields. The key experience is a 10 week, immersive summer research experience in a lab at CU Denver coupled with active professional development and building camaraderie with other fellows. You may recall that I reached out to you around this time last year based on your role as a Noyce Program PI and asked for your assistance in making HS STEM teachers aware of this opportunity. We are excited to be accepting applications for our second cohort of Fellows now, with their program beginning this summer (2022). More information is available at our website: https://clas.ucdenver.edu/rmsree/.
If you would be willing to share our program announcement (below) and website with former participants in your program, we’d appreciate it. Alternatively, if you have suggestions of people we could reach out to that would be able to help spread the word, we’d be grateful for that as well.
Thanks so much and take care,
Meg Schmitt, PhD
Program assistant for RMSREE
