Apply to Attend the 2020 USA Ultimate Coach & Organizer Convention
In accordance with our mission to serve as a regional resource and promote growth in the sport of Ultimate at all levels of play, Cincinnati Ultimate Players Association (CUPA) wishes to send up to three local representatives to meet and learn from national experts at the 2020 USA Ultimate Coach & Organizer Convention.
The person or people chosen to represent Cincinnati-Dayton at the conference will have their reasonable early-bird registration, hotel, and travel expenses to and from Colorado Springs reimbursed by CUPA, up to $1,200 maximum per person.
In return, attendees are asked to fully participate in conference activities, be positive representatives for the local community, and bring key lessons back for other community members to benefit from.
Our goals:
Transmit important information and best practices from USAU to the broader local community
Grow individual leaders’ abilities to a) teach and retain ultimate athletes and b) organize high-quality ultimate events
Represent Cincinnati-Dayton as a positive, forward-thinking, and growing ultimate region
We ask representatives to:
Write up key lessons and share conference materials with CUPA board/membership.
Present key lessons and materials to other coaches and organizers in at least one local event, e.g. Level 1 coaching clinic.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Adults over the age of 18 who live, work, or play ultimate in the Cincinnati-Dayton area
Those who wish to learn from national experts on the topics of coaching and/or organizing ultimate teams and events
Those who are excited about bringing the lessons back to fellow leaders in the Cincinnati-Dayton community
Demonstrated commitment to coaching or organizing local ultimate is a plus.

Why are you a good ambassador for the Cincinnati area ultimate community?
What prior experience do you hold with coaching and organizing ultimate? Include how long you’ve been doing each role you mention and what the commitment level is like.
Will you be able to be in Colorado Springs, CO on January 24-26, 2020?
Will you complete the follow-up requirements with enthusiasm and thoroughness? Namely, to (1) write up key lessons and share conference materials with the CUPA board, and (2) present key lessons in at least one event following the conference, such as a Level 1 coaching clinic.
