CUPA Supporting Our Local Community - Donate Blood

Hey everyone, 

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend.

I have always been proud of our local ultimate community and believe that we have a wonderfully supportive group of individuals who are passionate about fostering Spirit of the Game not only on the field, but in our lives. With that in mind, I wanted to channel that passion and provide a cause that we can all support (among the many valuable and important causes out there).

I encourage everyone to consider donating blood if you are able to do so. This simple service can help to save lives, and collectively we have a chance to make a significant impact. I have worked with Hoxworth Blood Centers to setup a group donation effort and hope that CUPA can demonstrate just how amazing our ultimate community is. If you are able to participate, simply provide the group ID of B880 when you register/schedule your appointment and your donations will be counted towards CUPA's total. There are many donation centers around the area and Hoxworth is very helpful if you have any questions about the process. Don't hesitate to contact them and they'll be happy to help.

For now, my goal is to simply get this effort in motion. Please help to spread the word within your teams, leagues, or any other contacts that you believe would be willing to help. I'm also considering coordinating a specific blood drive date/location in the future, but wanted to start with a simple group ID to start so that everyone could coordinate within their respective schedules/locations.

Hey everyone, 

Happy Monday! Hope your new year is off to a great start.

I just wanted to send an update about our efforts supporting the community through blood donations at local Hoxworth Blood Centers. Once we got the system in place, we were able to make 11 donations on behalf of CUPA in the last couple months of 2019 alone. That's an awesome start! And we've already made our first donation for 2020. :)

I want to thank those who have participated and encourage others to join the cause if you can. I know that our CUPA community gives in so many generous ways, and I'm glad this provides one opportunity to do so.
