This allows students and alumni on all of our 6,700 Career Networks to ask and answer career-related questions. In May 2009, AfterCollege released a list of the top cities in the Unites States with entry-level opportunities. We ranked cities by the number of employers (versus number of jobs) posting entry-level jobs to AfterCollege, to AfterCollege-powered career networks, and through our 70+ media and newspaper partners. The research was featured in BusinessWeek on June 15, 2009, and the article generated significant visibility for AfterCollege and also made the top 10 most emailed stories on Yahoo News. AfterCollege has teamed up with TwitterJobSearch to syndicate its entry-level job opportunities and internships on Twitter. As part of the collaboration, AfterCollege will send select broad-appeal jobs from its network to TwitterJobSearch, which in turn will convert the jobs to “tweets,” short text messages up to 140 characters to be broadcast on Twitter. AfterCollege jobs will also be indexed and searchable via the TwitterJobSearch search engine. Read More
