சென்னை புத்தகக் கண்காட்சியில் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட கீழடியில் கிடைத்த வைடூர்ய நெக்லஸ்.
Vaidurya is called as "Aqua Marina" in Roman period texts. கொங்குநாட்டுப் படியூர் (பட்டாலி சிவன்மலை, காங்கேயம் - திருப்புகழ்) பகுதியில் இந்தப் பச்சை மணிகள் அதிகம் கிடைக்கின்றன. இன்றும் காங்கயத்தின் அருகே வேள்நாடு இருக்கிறது. சங்கரண்டாம்பாளையம் வேணாடு உடையார் இருக்கிறார். கொங்குவேளிர் பெருங்கதை இயற்றி, விசயமங்கலத்தில் அரங்கேற்றினார். வேளுக்குறிச்சி இருக்கிறது. வேளூர் > வேடூர் > வைடூர்ய. Beryl என்ற சொல், -ட்- > -ர்- ஆக மாற்றம் பெறுதலைக் காட்டுகிறது: ஒடியா > ஒரிசா, கன்னட- > கன்னர (kannada > Canarese) ... போல
QUESTIONS:
(1) Is this necklace found in Keeladi? In which year, it was found?
(2) Are these stones Aqua Marina stones from Kongu Nadu (Padiyur, Kangayam)?

There are those potsherds with graffiti markings & names in Tamili/Tamil Brahmi script, jewellery beads & other tools.

Are these green colored glass beads (top right corner)?? It appears so, compare against the red colored glass beads
