Brianna Scherer came off the ventilator today! The doctors are now saying
she will definitely survive, which is something they were only giving 50-50
odds until today. The tube is also out of her head, and she has been awake
several times, being relatively coherent and knowing where she was and
everything. The determination of just what damage has been done to her poor
little body is still to come. They are currently weaning her off of the
sedating drugs to see how her lungs are faring. They will definitely be
scarred.

Cary & Louise Scherer are doing alright, though Cary also had to go to the
hospital for treatment of his chronic (congenital) condition during this
week, so it's been very trying and exhausting for this young family. Please
continue to pray for them all.

Sharon Lurie in Nashville was feeling better and then yesterday underwent a
chiropractic treatment for the hiatal hernia. When I spoke with her
yesterday at about 6:30PM Pacific, the nausea was gone but she felt really
"weird," and kind of brushed off suggestions she go to the ER complaining
about the bill she got last time. I've not had contact since. Please
continue to pray for her.

New Request: One of my congregants, Kenny Herman, has serious shoulder
problems that will require surgery. Right now, he is at home with
prescribed narcotic pain relievers. The pain is so bad that he is taking
the pills about every two hours WITH alcohol WITH his doctor's knowledge.
This could be bad, so please be especially vigilant in your prayers.

I appreciate your prayers for these people and also for me and our
congregation, Beit Tefillah Messianic Fellowship in Fresno.

LATE-BREAKING:

Shamash Kevin Klay, who is also our cantor and my roommate (and best friend)
is not doing well. He just told me he is not up to going to services
tonight. This is very unusual for him. He must be feeling really poorly
not to come.
