Urgent Prayer Needs

mine locally was taken to the Emergency Room Monday night with a fever of
104; she has been sick since last Saturday, they thought it was the flu
(including her doctor, who saw her Monday during the day). She collapsed in
her father's arms as he was helping her to the bathroom in the middle of the
night.
Fresno Community ER was concerned about her symptoms and transferred her to
Central California Children's Hospital, one of the best children's hospitals
in the world, which is also right outside of Fresno.
As it turns out, she has bacterial meningitis and was in critical condition.
As of this moment she is stable but has to be kept under heavy sedation,
essentially a drug-induced coma. According to her father, today they plan
on starting to take some of the sedation away and begin to see how she is
faring. As of this moment they are treating her for pneumonia and they are
starting to be able to move her some as the pressure in her brain area has
stabilized.
The girl's Brianna name is Brianna. Her mother is Louise. Her father is
Cary. The last name is Scherer.
Please pray for a miraculous healing, one that will cause them to search
deeper into faith and perhaps come to see the truth of Messiah outside of
the LDS Church.
On the other end of the country, my friend Sharon Lurie in Nashville, TN is
suffering from hiatal hernia and possibly stress-induced GI problems as
well. She has not been able to keep food down in quite some time. Please
be in prayer for her healing as well.
