The statement below is from Ned for CT spokesperson Rob Blanchard, in response to Sen. Fazio and the Senate GOP leadership:

"Senator Fazio and the Senate Republican caucus have one idea—eliminate the public benefits charge—and it doesn't even work. It moves costs from your electric bill to your tax bill. That's it. That's their plan. He won't talk about housing, healthcare, or the fact that his party's President is driving up your energy costs through tariffs right now, because he doesn't want you to know where he stands. Governor Lamont delivered a real 14% rate cut, saving ratepayers $450 million through the Millstone contract, and just proposed the most aggressive utility accountability package in a generation. Connecticut deserves more than that."
