CT HOUSE REPUBLICAN WOMEN SUPPORT AMICUS BRIEF FILERS IN FEDERAL
"SAVE WOMEN'S SPORTS" COURT CASE
Ten female CT House Republican lawmakers commend federal lawmakers for joining an amicus brief in support of the legal defense to "save women's sports" ahead of Supreme Court arguments.
"As Connecticut House Republicans, we remain steadfast supporters of student athletes, parents, as well as state and national advocates who continue to fight to protect the rights of young women and to "save women's sports" across the nation.
"As grandmothers, mothers, and aunts, we want to make certain that girls have access to every opportunity possible, especially in sports, and protecting them from having to compete athletically against biological men is extremely important. Allowing biological males to participate in girls' sports robs young women of an equal opportunity to participate in athletics. This is patently unacceptable, and we will not stand for it.
"Girls deserve equal opportunities in all aspects of society, from the classroom to the playing field, and we will continue to fight for their rights by supporting the policies and programs that appreciate and take-into-account the physical differences between the two genders."
