Join us for the Portuguese Flag Raising Ceremony as we celebrate the rich history, vibrant traditions, and lasting contributions of the Portuguese community to our city.

This special ceremony is an opportunity to recognize and honor the generations of Portuguese families whose culture, values, and traditions have helped shape Bridgeport's diverse and vibrant community. From their contributions to local businesses and civic life to the preservation of cherished customs, language, music, food, and faith, the Portuguese community continues to play an important role in the story of our city.

 

Following the ceremony and flag raising, guests are invited to stay and enjoy traditional Portuguese pastries and refreshments while gathering with friends, neighbors, and community leaders.

 

We hope you will join us as we celebrate Portuguese culture, honor our shared heritage, and recognize the many contributions of the Portuguese-American community.
