Business System Analyst
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 18 months +
Rate- $DOE
PROFILE SUMMARY:
§ Work on large project teams - coordinating work effort for other BSAs
§ Partner with product management to elicit and refine high level and detail level business requirements
§ Identify, analyze, define, and document detailed requirements to support business objectives
§ Own the business work streams from initiation to the deployment
§ Use your technical knowledge to assess scope and impact of business needs
§ Collaborate with user experience, development, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle
§ Identify and document functional workflows, Use case diagrams, Use case documents, Sequence diagrams, context diagrams, State diagrams, Activity diagrams and system Use case specifications
§ Participate in the analysis and definition of functional and non-functional requirements and produce solution for an efficient system
§ Ensure any issues between cross functional teams are tracked and resolved
§ Perform Data Analysis and document Data Flow Diagrams
§ Work on process improvement initiatives and assists in development of standards and guidelines related to agile/scrum practices
§ *Please note that this position is for a project that is anticipated to last 18 months with the possibility of conversion to full-time status.
Qualifications:
§ 8+ years of relevant work experience as a BSA
§ Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
§ Demonstrated experience in Agile development methodology / Scrum
§ Business knowledge, preferably in the finance industry
§ Knowledgeable in technical data analysis, functional design, modeling, system development processes, and software testing
§ Strong expertise in UML
§ Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees and leaders internally and externally to the organization
§ Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
§ Customer focused with high quality standards
§ Proven complex thinking, analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills
§ Desired Skills:
§ Experience with web content management
