MEETING AGENDA
1. Welcome and comments by the President
2. Summary of 2018 Annual Meeting Minutes
2. Section Reports
3. Membership Report
4. Election of Officers. The 3 officers are President, Treasure, and Secretary. Any member is eligible to run for these offices. If you want to do so, please contact me so we can be properly prepared for voting. The remainder of the Board of Directors consists of representatives from each of the Sections. Ideally, the Sections will have chosen their representatives in advance of the Annual Meeting. PLEASE NOTE: Only members who are paid up for 2019 are eligible to vote.
5. Treasurer’s Report
There are two additional items that I think we should discuss. I do not expect them to be resolved at this meeting, and, although they are ski-related, they might affect our structure and operations. They are significant enough so that I believe the BOD needs to have input from the membership.
6. The Ski Section Junior Program. This program began small, was run by members of the Ski Section, and the skiers were members. It has grown a lot and is very successful, and, while many members still serve as volunteer coaches, it is now run by parents and other volunteers; I am not aware that any of them are members of CSU. And, with few exceptions, the Junior skiers are not members either. We have no provisions in our bylaws or policies to cover this arrangement.
7. The Billy Koch League is a program for young skiers, up to age 13. Some officials from the local affiliate of the program, the Eastern Mass Billy Koch League (EMBK), have asked me whether CSU would be interested in having EMBK become part of CSU.
We expect that some sections may bring for sale CSU clothing that may be of general interest. (The Running Section’s orange shirts are terrific)
