Hello everyone!
I'm sending out an invite for a MTB ride followed-up by a little
meeting to get folks together and start developing the group a bit
more. Feel free to bring friends and family along to the ride or
meeting! So here are the details...

MTB Ride (AM):
Saturday October 4th meet at the upper parking lot in Cheyenne Canyon
at 7:30am. This is the intersection of High Drive, Cheyenne Canyon,
and Gold Camp Road. The plan is to ride up Gold Camp to Jones Park to
enjoy some great fall colors and then have a ripping good time
descending back down to High Drive.
This is a no-drop ride and we will regroup at various locations along
the way to keep everyone together. The pace will be social all
morning, except on the downhills of course! ;-)
Total time will be approximately 4-5 hours.
* Normally I wouldn't choose this long of a route for the first group
ride, but it's my birthday weekend and too good of a ride to pass up!
*

Meeting (PM):
We can plan to meet in the afternoon at Trinity Brewing Company on
1466 Garden of the Gods Road and hang out for a little while. Stay as
long or as short as you want; this is just to get together, hang out
as a group, and chat a little bit ab out how the patrol will work.
By the way, if you haven't looked at the menu at Trinity Brewing yet,
definitely check it out! Nothing like great food after a long day in
the saddle riding in the dirt! :)

Please reply to let me know if you are interested and able to make
either of these events.
See you on the trail!

Ryan,

Excellent! Looks like the Fall colors will be in full swing for the ride.

I will be out in Lamar that day though supporting the IMBA Take a Kid Mtn Biking Day that Livewell Colorado is putting on.

Definitely get some pictures for the web site...wish I could be going but alas, my weekends are booked for the next several weeks.

Cheers,

Allen

Sorry I can't make the ride or the meeting; I will be in Boston until November 11th. It would be great if someone could take notes or just fire me an email afterwards with the key points.

Dude, I'm bummed. Not sure I can make this one. If I can't, maybe we can
meet for coffee, lunch, or a ride one day and you can fill me in on the
details. I'll see if I can get out of what I have blocked for that day
though.

Bummer that you have something already planned for that day, but yeah, let's plan on lunch or a ride one of these days to go through everything if this ride doesn't work out. I'd like to plan a shorter ride some evening because it might be easier to get everyone together during the week, but we'll see. It's nice to kind of have everything winding down a bit anyway because we'll have a lot of time to get ready for next year. Plus it means the snow is coming soon! :)
What's your plan for the ski season? Are you doing the 5 mountain pass?

Bought the 5 mountain Summit Pass, but didn’t get the unlimited days at Vail, just the 10 day. I’ve never even used all 10. I debated on a Monarch pass. It’s only $275, and I had some killer days there last season. Either way, we should hit up the snow and carpool this year.
