Jennifer and Phil rode with me today, in Greene County. We did our regular Kirby Loop, 22 miles with 1500 feet of climbing.
It did warm up during the ride,  and we also had blue skies.
We meet Frank and Jack at Sweet Baby's, they had bike up from Morgantown, and were heading out for many more miles. Kelly

Great pictures. I really wanted to ride today. The weather felt so nice.

Kelly,

Great photos and report.  Good to see you, Jennifer and Phil at Sweet Baby’s.  Indeed, the riding started out pretty cold but ended up gorgeous!

Jack and I did a ride that’s kind of traditional for us on Sundays.  Starting at the Courthouse; riding up to Fort Martin; over the hill to Taylortown; over the hill to Mt. Morris; visit Sweet Baby's and home via US 19 and WV100.

On Sundays, the ride has always been delightful with barely any traffic.  Most of the roads are the best the’ve ever been except Ft. Martin Rd. which is deteriorating.  A couple weeks ago, we rode out the rail trail to Pt. Marion and up Dilliner Hill Rd. to Ft. Martin.  That road was recently resurfaced with very large limestone chunks so I plan to avoid it for a while.  I’m hoping Cemetery Hill Rd. is better.

Having electric assist gravel bikes allows us to take just about any route we want and to work as hard as we want.  Today, we did 35-miles; 3,071’-ascent; 13.2-mph and for me, with 227-Wh assist.

Here’s a link to Garmin Connect of our ride today: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/20807428369 .     If you can’t open it, let me know how you’d like to see it and I’ll try to accommodate.
