TODAY, Monday, Dec. 8, the Deckers Creek Rail-Trail is CLOSED for a few weeks on the section being resurfaced from the Greer Deckers Creek Plant (mile 9.5) to the Masontown Trailhead (mile 13.5) at Sand Bank Road. Crew is resurfacing a 4-mile stretch of trail with compacted limestone.

The Deckers Creek Rail-Trail Restoration project is partially funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration’s Transportation Alternatives Program which is administered by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways. The 20% match to this grant is provided by the Monongalia County Parks and Trails Levy and donations to the Mon River Trails Conservancy.
